Nikolai Cathedral

This is the model of Nikolai Cathedral built in 1891. This is a Rissian Orthodox Church, better known as Nikolai-do. It was ordered to be built by the Russian archbishop Nicholai Kasatkin. The photograph in the background is a overlooked scene of Tokyo from Nikolai Cathedral during the Meiji era. On the left-hand side is the Nihonbashi area. At the center is the Imperial Palace. On the right-hand side is the Iidabashi area. Nikolai Cathedral was built on a hill when there were no surrounding buildings, showing a wonderful view of Tokyo.
